We are a fun and friendly bunch of photography enthusiasts, camera buffs, art lovers, computer whizzes, technophobes, gear geeks, and rugged one-camera-does-all image hunters. In other words, we welcome all those with an interest in photography! We have a range of members with a range of skills, from just-starting-out keen amateurs, through to internationally reknowned professionals. We promote a cooperative fun club where members help and support one another in our quest for the ever elusive perfect image.
Come along, meet others, learn, and share ideas!
Next Club Meeting:
16th September
Our next club night will kick off with part 2 of the Exposure tutorial by Penny Aspin, then we will have judging of the entries for our contemporary topics 'nearly black' and 'pure light'. We are looking for some great examples of dark images with loads of rich shadows (but not underexposed), and beautiful, light, airy, high-key images (watch that overexposure).
Entries are due on THURSDAY 9th SEPTEMBER at 4PM, and yup you need to be a financial member to enter this competition.
Visitors are ALWAYS welcome!
2010 promises to be an exciting year with a varied programme that will suit both experienced and learner photographers - check out our updated programme HERE.
